Key messages for RTCA customers in the 5 pilot countries

To meet the changing needs of today’s clients, we are offering a new multi-media training capability: the Knowledge Network.

The Knowledge Network offers a choice of flexible learning options:

  • Knowledge OnDemand; online modules and pre-recorded webcast or video modules that are available 24/7 and allow the user to learn when it suits them
  • and Knowledge Live; instructor led interactive online training sessions, these may be group or one-to-one

From October 1st, 2009 Reuters Trader for Commodities Advanced (RTCA) users in Singapore, Canada, Denmark, Switzerland and Russia will be able to access the Knowledge Network. We will be contacting them via email and through proactive calls from the FASS team to make them aware of the new training capability and to encourage them to use it.

The RTCA users in these 5 countries are the first customers to experience the Knowledge Network, which is hosted on our Customer Zone site and can be found at financial.thomsonreuters.com/knowledgenetwork_rtca.

The Knowledge Network offers significant benefits to our customers

  • Users are able to access the new training capability when it suits them and access our specialist trainers wherever they are located in the world. The on-demand modules are self paced and available 24/7, giving added flexibility to users.
  • The wide range of classes available mean customers can access instructor-led training at times that suit them and their working day. As new content becomes available, customers will also be made aware of new training modules.

As this is a brand new training capability we are seeking our customers’ feedback. It is important to us as we continue to enhance our training offer. At the end of both the online learning (Knowledge OnDemand) and the interactive webcast/video training (Knowledge Live), the user will be invited to give feedback via an online survey. We will also be using our standard Event Driven Program telephone surveys to gather feedback from customers.
